About the Artist
I am an Oxford based wildlife and pet portrait artist. I use mainly coloured pencils and watercolours for my work, but I do occasionally like to explore other subjects and mediums.
I have drawn and painted since I was a child, but I’ve only recently started taking commissions. I try to achieve a true likeness of the animals I draw, but it is also important to me to try to capture the character of the animals.
When drawing and painting wildlife I like to spend time observing and sketching my subjects from life before taking reference photographs to work from.
My artwork has been exhibited in Oxford as part of a charity art auction in aid of a local hospice.
I try to support charities that are special to me with my art and have won a competition to design a Christmas card for a UK charity.
I use quality coloured pencils and watercolours that are highly lightfast and I draw and paint on archival quality paper for my work.
For pet portrait commissions. I work from your own photographs, unless you live locally to me and would like me to take photographs of your pet.
